Ceesay set for Djurgarden stay

Invited by the Swede Coach [Backe], the Gambian versatile defender spend one week on trials at County last month but Backe’s decision to leave the English Fourth Tier side on Tuesday could mean he may decide to stay with the Allsvenskan side.

Backe was immediately linked with the vacant position at Ceesay’s current club that was leave vacant by the departure of Andres Jergletz who left the Stockholm side after securing their place in the Swedish top flight with a playoff win over Lamin Babaye Conateh’s Assyriska.

Backe was very close to taking the Djurgarden role in the past before he decided to pull out at the last minute in order to take the Managerial job at Sven Goran Erickson’s revolution at Notts County.

And Pa Dembo’s club is not ruling the prospect of turning up to him again with Director Putte Carlsson saying: “you never know. We of course talked with him and he was our main target before he pulled away.”
