Hereford stretched in defence

The Bulls were missing Ryan Valentine, Ryan Green, Richard Rose and Danny Blanchett for the midweek Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat by MK Dons.

Hereford currently sit five places and six points above Lincoln in 17th place in the league. In the form tables United are one place better in 16th having won two, drawn one and lost three of their last six league matches. Lincoln are 22nd in the form table having failed to win in their last six matches. They’ve drawn three and lost three.

Lincoln right-back Paul Green could make his first appearance of the season after recovering from a hip injury.

On-loan midfielders Anthony Pulis and Sergio Torres are both still out with ankle injuries.

Trewick said: "They are a team that is scrapping for points which is no different to us, although we are a bit more comfortably off than they are at the moment.

"I have said to the players many times that before we can play the football we want to play we have got to earn the right.

"That means scrapping for the right and physically and mentally being up there to dominate your opponent."
