In front of hundreds of fans, the Saints Boys proved that they have the best team in the competition and that fact cannot be denied after some dazzling performances from their lads to down the much fancied SOS side.
Earlier in the day, the two beaten semifinalists St Peters and Kotu Senior Secondary School played in the third place playoffs and St Peters emerged stronger with a 34 Points to 23 Points victory.
St Peters went home with GMD 2,000 as a consolation price for winning the third place and GMD 1,000 and a trophy for been selected as the most discipline team in the tournament while Saints went home with a trophy and GMD 10,000 and SOS went away with GMD 6,000.
The tournament was organised by the Scholar Athlete for Change in collaborations with the Gambia Secondary Schools Sports Association and all the eight participating teams were given two Basketballs and the players received certificates while Omar Sanneh of Saints went home with a trophy and GMD 5,00 for being the best player.
Pierce Jallow is one of the main organisers of the competition and he told Gambia Sports Online that it was a very good tournament and that they achieved their goals boosted by the fact that they nearly got a full house in the finals.
